So Far

Your sadistic advice
Is of no use to me
Against a warm hearted soul
That emanates a message.
It was not the extreme.
It never will be.
Deluded rites place you
So far from the truth.
If you want me to be unkind
You will learn
That does not resemble me.
If you want me to feel downcast
I will unleash
A perfect hail of compliments.
If you would like me to be unpolite
I will show you
There’s enough doors to open.
If you wish me to look the other way
I will engage.
Put you on top of the world.
If you want me to wear a frown
I will decline.
There’s a promising day ahead.

This poem was born out of the same emotional response as last week’s post, Befallen.
I guess one could say they are fraternal twins!

Let me know what you think
